Also, we announce that her January 1st event is going to launch our 2018 #racelocal season!

On this episode, we talk to Margaret Schlacter and Rachelanne Gladden - both of whom work tirelessly behind the scenes to bring OCR World Championships to fruition. We try to convince them to tell us where the 2018 event is going to be (spoiler: we fail), and we talk about their highlights, lowlights and what operating such an amazing, high profile event is actually like.

On this show, Sandy returns to Panic in the Dark (she's a chicken who hates being scared) and explains why she hates Fred Smith. Both Josh and Sandy dig into the final day, including the team relay and Make a Wish waves (and why the MAW event is so special to Sandy) - and tell us their highlights and lowlights of the entire weekend. Josh ramps up for his trip to Texas, and we open the show with a dicsussion about his underwear.

It's the week after the Obstacle Course Race World Championships - and Josh and Sandy were there, running all four events! On this episode, we discuss the weekend, specifically covering the 3k and 15k course options from both a competitive and journeyman point of view. The New England Spahtens had more people in attendance than many countries - and everything from podium placers (congratulations Marie!) to journeymen and fun runners!

Uploading this one again, as I broke it last time!

This is the last show dedicated to the 2018 NES elections. The 6 people you hear in this super short episode are standing for positions on the 2018 unopposed - so take ten minutes, listen to their ideas, and feel free to ask questions of anyone!

We talk about one of the more fun events on the OCR circuit, and our newst #racelocal event - Rugged Maniac! And, the approach to OCR World Championships is coming ...

Ep58: #racelocal board position

As we get into our voting for the 2018 New England Spahtens board positions, we're giving the community members who stepped up and are applying for a board position a platform - over the next few shows, you'll hear from the candidates for each board position answering questions from Sandy (questions the community offered up!) about their plans and expectations. We encourage you to leave comments below and get engaged and involved.

Voting is available to all 2017 New England Spahtens members who purchased their membership prior to Sept 1st, and will open October 1st.

Bare with us as we get through this period - normal Podcast service will be resumed shortly!

Josh and Sandy bring on special guest and Killington first timer, Linda Renee - and chat about the biggest, baddest Spartan Race on our calendar. Killington holds a special place for many - with many stories of DNF's, redemptions and achievements. They also talk about the Death March Party that saved so many racers days - with so many Spahtens at the summit handing out candy, water, hugs and motivation.
